Obviously Freya Stark must have been staying at the Union Hotel in Penzance…a quality establishment where the death of Nelson was first announced….
Obviously this was a significant event so much so they haven’t decorated it since!
Well it’s clean enough and we only have to sleep here…been a long drive down! Sincere thanks to Malcolm and Marion for driving us.
Maurice immediately took refuge in the bar, I’m going to be a bit more measured, James is still to arrive and it’s going to be a long day of up and downs tomorrow!
The group are split between this hotel and the Longboat down the road – everyone is wondering about the logistics of getting the bikes and our enormous luggage half a mile down the road tomorrow, am sure all will work itself out!
